Nuno Pimenta

Born in Covilhã in 1975. Graduated in Communication and Public Relations from the Polytechnic of Guarda and with a Postgraduate degree in Territorial Marketing from the University of Beira Interior.

He worked at the Fundão City Council for 15 years, where he was responsible for the municipality’s first administrative modernization process, with the implementation of the customer service desk and, later, took on the coordination of several areas, with greater emphasis on Communication and Marketing, in addition to Tourism where, as Executive Director of the municipal company Fundão Turismo, he was linked to projects of enormous relevance for the territory such as the creation of the network of tourist offices, the Rede Aldeias Históricas de Portugal, the Rede Aldeias do Xisto or even the management of territorial brands associated with Cereja do Fundão, Fundão 365 Days to Discovery and Clube de Produtores do Fundão. In this field, it adopted the strategy associated with Internationalization and Food Innovation, with greater emphasis on territorial marketing associated with Cereja do Fundão, in addition to public-private partnerships to create innovative products such as Pastel de Cereja, Bombom de Cereja or Compal of Fundão Cherry.

For personal reasons, he moved to the island of Madeira in 2015, where he took up duties at Funchal City Council, having been at the genesis of the creation of Loja do Munícipe and contributing to the implementation of the Funchal municipality’s Administrative Modernization strategy. Since 2020 and to date, he has been head of the division of CIGMA – Integrated Center for Autonomous Municipal Management, a structure that brings together all non-face-to-face services in the Municipality of Funchal, digital platforms and events in the city.
