SMART TRAVEL 2024: INTELLIGENCE IS OUR DESTINATION

When the international Smart Travel event was launched in 2014, the intention was always to associate the event with a set of innovative experiences that would allow visitors and guests to enjoy the best offers in the territory where the project was developed: Trás-os-Montes (Portugal).

Over the years, the successive editions attracted an ever-growing audience, which was joined by speakers and other guests.

The experiences, exclusive and new, have become a tourist innovation laboratory promoting and offering products and experiences that can be enjoyed on a more permanent basis.

Arrived in 2024, it’s time to take a new step toward replicating this successful platform. Thus, it is the purpose of this project to expand the sharing of content of relevant public interest to more municipalities, spread across the national territory, and, at the same time, to implement in the field a series of new experiences that will be promoted with local partners and adapted to a public differentiated.

The “Smart Travel Portugal” event stands as the oldest and most prestigious gathering dedicated to advancing the concept of smart cities within the context of Portugal.

With a history dating back to its inception in 2014, this event has played a pivotal role in fostering innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among stakeholders invested in transforming urban landscapes through technology and sustainable practices.

For over 10 years, Smart Travel Portugal has consistently brought together a diverse range of participants, including government officials, city planners, technology experts, entrepreneurs, researchers, and representatives from various industries. The event serves as a platform where attendees can engage in insightful discussions, showcase cutting-edge solutions, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the latest trends and advancements in the realm of smart cities.
