She is the co-founder of Urbanólogo, a collective that disseminates, promotes and develops work in areas related to urban and territorial dynamics, with emphasis on the Portuguese context. She has worked in the area of Sociology and Urban Studies in different research projects, particularly in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, from different approaches, as well as in an interdisciplinary context.
She is a professor at ISEC Lisboa, teaching in the areas of Urban Planning and Mobility as well as Qualitative Analysis Methods and at FCSH-UNL (as a guest professor) teaching Sociology of Territory and Urban Sociology.
Recent work has focused on the practices and meanings of neighborhoods and territories as well as urban tourism in Greater Lisbon.
The main areas of interest are urban development and local transformations through the analysis of how a territory is produced and perceived.
