Hélder Bruno

Senior consultant – expert in cultural and creative industries (certified by consultiip); consultant for the company Cherry Blossom – Art&Culture Business Consulting; associate consultant at Tom Fleming Creative Consultancy, among other companies and institutions such as Dir. Geral das Artes, Instituto Camões, CCDR-Norte.

As a scientific researcher he designed a decision support methodology for defining prosperity strategies (“ecocracy”) and developed studies in the areas of music, culture and creativity; music and individual; music and society; music, culture and economy. He is the author of articles, communications, prefaces, books and CD-books, of which Jazz em Portugal (1920-1956) stands out (Almedina, 2006).

In addition to his technical-scientific activity, he is a composer and pianist, having released two albums: A Presença, serena e terna (2018); Under a Water Sky (2022). With the latter, he won the “best world music performance” award at IIPMA 2023 (Providence, Rhode Island, USA).

He has a doctorate in ethnomusicology from the University of Aveiro, a master’s degree in ethnomusicology from FLUC, a degree in music education from ESEC / IPC.
