Cristóvão Monteiro, executive president of CEIT – Strategic Center for Territorial Innovation, a scientific and technological-based organization focused on strategy, research and territorial development, has a degree in Organizational Communication from the Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra, a master’s degree in Marketing and International Business from Coimbra Business School and PhD candidate in Communication at the University of Vigo.
He has worked in public and private bodies, particularly in the fields of communication, branding, territorial marketing and smart cities, where he coordinated several research and strategic consultancy projects in territories at national and international level.
He is currently a professor of the Postgraduate Course in Strategic Communication for Local Authorities, promoted by the Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra and scientific co-coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Territorial Branding at Coimbra Business School, also taking on the co-coordination of the Territorial Branding Observatory supervised by the same institution, being the first and only national laboratory for research applied to territorial brands.
He also assumes management functions for Portugal Branding – National Program for the Development of Territorial Brands, an initiative that aims to map, recognize and implement best practices in terms of managing territorial brands in Portugal.
His professional achievements include winning the “My Marketing Experience” International Competition from Publisher Pearson, one of the largest publishers of educational books in the world.
